Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring robotics, spine, total joints, and general surgery experience with an active GA or Compact license.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Cases include robotics, spine, total joints, and general surgery
- AM shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- 30-minute meal break included in shift
- On-call responsibilities required including weekday, weekend, and holiday call (approximately 1-2 call days per month)
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in robotics, spine, total joints, and general surgical procedures required
- Travel experience preferred
Additional Information
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Former Emory or Houston Methodist permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
- RTO is strictly limited: a maximum of 5 days off if not near a holiday, or 3 days if requested on or near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed
- Holiday coverage is required as part of the assignment
