Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and BLS.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-ray procedures
• Assists radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
• Performs X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures including C-arm and OR work
• 13-week assignment on night shift
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May be required to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, or take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) including Computed Tomography (CT) required
• Current BLS certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
• 2 years of prior CT Technologist experience preferred
• Cross-training in other modalities such as MRI, DEXA, or Mammography preferred
• Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems preferred
• Proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, and technical quality evaluation for CT scans
• Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA standards
• Maintains accurate patient records including charging procedures and supplies
• May assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
• May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
• Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
• Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment
