Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist with active state licensure, ARRT(R)/ARRT(CT) certification, and 3+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-Ray procedures, including invasive procedures
- Uses a Toshiba Aquilon 64-slice CT scanner
- Monday to Friday, 1500-2330, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Must take call as required
Requirements
- Active state license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT and ARRT(CT) certification required, ARRT(R) also required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiology and registered with ARRT
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy required
- Two years of diagnostic experience desirable
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist height
- Must be able to move 40 pounds six feet and reach overhead holding 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level and pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed
- Must be able to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher 300 feet
- Requires good stamina, flexibility, manual dexterity, and motor skills to operate specialized equipment
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Perform CT procedures under direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist, including patient positioning, instruction, and equipment operation
- Determine technical factors for exposure and ensure correct marking/labeling of all films
- Provide safe, quality patient care and demonstrate accurate clinical judgment consistent with radiology standards
- Deliver quality customer service in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
