Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active NY RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit, including burn and thermoregulation cases
- Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Charge nurse experience highly preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Clinical skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG required
- Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, and IV insulin protocols required
- Proficiency in infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing services in a fast-paced ICU setting
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility for consideration
- Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have separated at least 6 months prior, system wide
- First-time travelers may be considered
- No more than 10 days of requested RTO permitted for consideration
