Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring NY licensure in hand and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
Details
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
- ICU setting including Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Burn unit care
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Charge nurse experience highly preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
- Experienced in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and neuromuscular blockade
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Experienced with IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions
Additional Information
- Provide critical care to medical, surgical, and burn ICU patients including thermoregulation management
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered for travel pay
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
- Previous employees must have a 6-month system-wide separation before returning
- Pre-start training modules required, varying by specialty
