Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification for a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab.

Details

• Diagnostic cardiac cath lab with 3 rooms and 5 beds
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8-10
• Diagnoses include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants (no EP studies or ablations)
• Uses GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment
• Epic required for charting; Pyxis, SBAR, and Merge experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Works every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• May float within the department and facility, including to sister campus Piedmont Eastside South
• Call requirements of 12-15 days per month plus 2 weekends (Sat/Sun), with late stay as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing heart caths and devices
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required
• Pacemaker experience preferred
• EKG setting experience required, including obtaining vitals, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythm identification
• Experience with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI required
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Prior travel experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field when scrubbing
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas/New Year's Eve and Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers who were cancelled or deemed unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
