Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a Mon-Fri day shift acute hospital role requiring 1 year of case management/utilization review experience and an active NY RN license.
Details
- Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Mon-Fri block schedule
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of case management/utilization review experience required
- Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, and needs assessment/DME ordering
- Experience determining medical necessity using InterQual and Milliman guidelines
- Experience with admission criteria, concurrent review, and continued stay reviews
- Familiarity with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines
- Experience in Emergency Department, ICU, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, Surgical Services, or Women's Services preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include utilization review, discharge planning, and coordinating patient care plans
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Preference for candidates requesting 5 days or less of RTO
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules must be completed prior to starting
