Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience to provide care for orthopedic, neurologic, and post-surgical patients.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Day shift schedule with options including 4x9 hour or 5x8 hour shifts
• Treats orthopedic, neurologic, gait/balance, pain management, work comp, and pre/post-op surgical cases
• Utilizes soft tissue mobilization, instrument-guided soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise and activities, gait training, neuro re-education, and manual therapy techniques
• Cerner charting preferred
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Pending state license accepted
• Experience with orthopedic and neurologic patient populations required
• Skilled in assessment, documentation, and use of therapeutic modalities and equipment
• 2 supervisor references required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
• Facility closes for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, with limited crews scheduled the day after/eve of these holidays
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• In-state (Indiana) residents are considered local
• Past IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of cumulative travel employment must complete a consecutive break to reset eligibility
