Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit position requiring 2 years of experience and travel nursing background.
Details
- Med/Surg unit with MS/Tele and Short Stay (23-hour) capabilities
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN State or Compact) required in-hand prior to start
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
- Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
- Experience managing GI, GU/renal, and neurological conditions preferred
- Cardiac monitoring skills including telemetry and dysrhythmia management preferred
- Wound care and isolation precaution knowledge required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across a variety of Med/Surg, telemetry, and orthopedic cases
- Facility completion of pre-start and annual competency modules required for clearance
- Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills needed in a fast-paced environment
- RTO must be submitted with application
- Holiday availability must be indicated at time of submission
