Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday shifts required
- EPIC EMR charting used
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Skilled in patient positioning, surgical team support, and documentation of nursing care
Additional Information
- Prepares OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures
- Performs patient identification, timeouts, and safety checks throughout surgical process
- Positions and preps patients for procedures using proper safety techniques
- Supports the surgical team during procedures, including managing supplies, specimens, and medications
- Transports patients to PACU or appropriate unit and provides handoff to receiving RN
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days within the 13-week contract period
