Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of recent CT experience and ARRT-R certification for a 13-week community hospital assignment.

Details

• Community hospital setting supporting adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department patients
• Average daily census of 20 across 16 rooms
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• On-call required to meet department needs
• May float between 3 community hospital sites (Leawood, Legends, and Roeland Park) as needed
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year
• BLS, ARRT-R, and LRT (State of Kansas) certification required; ARRT-CT preferred
• License required if applicable for both Kansas and Missouri or compact license, in hand at time of consideration
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, sinus, carotid, and spine CT imaging with and without contrast
• Proficient in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across a variety of body systems including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal studies
• Support trauma and vascular imaging including pulmonary embolism, CTA, and aortic studies
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted
• Returning staff must have an 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service before eligibility
