Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a CVICU/CVIMCU position requiring 2+ years of cardiovascular ICU experience and current Oregon RN licensure.

Details

• Blended cardiovascular care unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Cares for patients 16 years and older with cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CABG, valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS
• Night shift schedule of 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating required within the facility and to nearby affiliated West Valley Hospital, approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending licensure accepted, expired licenses not accepted)
• Active Oregon CNA license required and must be in hand at time of consideration (pending CNA licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, with telemetry experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiovascular experience needed, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, IABP, Impella, TAVR, VAD, and pre/post cardiac cath care
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and IV therapy
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• Experience with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and neuromuscular blockade
• Experience managing CVVHD/CRRT and acute/chronic renal failure preferred
• Experience with hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun and post-neurosurgery management a plus
• Shock program management experience preferred
• Copies of all required certifications and a supervisor reference required for consideration
• Nursys license verification dated within the last 30 days required for consideration

• Advanced certification is encouraged and supported
• Former Salem Health employees must wait six months from their termination date before being eligible for assignment
• Assignments generally start within 3–4 weeks of the current date
• Required training modules (up to 8 hours) must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter
• Candidates may only be considered for one position within the Salem Health system at a time
• Finalized RTO must be confirmed prior to consideration; late requests may impact contract eligibility
