Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PCU Float position requiring strong telemetry/IMC experience and an OR RN license.

Details

• Float pool position supporting adult inpatient units including PCU, telemetry, stepdown, and IMC
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 for RN and 1:6-13 (days) or 1:10-13 (nights) for CNA
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope, including to West Valley Hospital
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele/PCU/IMC required
• Skilled in management of telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone)
• Proficient in O2 protocol and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with peripheral line care/management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with rapid response team activation
• Computerized documentation experience required

• Supports all adult inpatient units including ED, psychiatric medical center, ICU, inpatient rehab, vascular access, and adult care units
• Part of the Salem Health Float Pool Team, known for flexibility and broad inpatient care knowledge
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center status
• Royal blue scrubs required
• RTO requests over 10 days require approval
• Local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
