Description
American Traveler is hiring a MedSurg/Tele Observation RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of acute MedSurg experience and an AZ or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 10-bed MedSurg unit with telemetry capability on all beds within an acute care, Level III trauma hospital
- 12-hour night shift schedule
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, and 1:4 for pediatric patients, adjusted based on acuity
- Support staff includes tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
- Float to all MedSurg units and ICU to cover overflow patients
- Uses Allscripts EMR
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA); PALS preferred
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute MedSurg care setting required
- BSN not required
Additional Information
- Deliver direct patient care on a MedSurg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
- Any color scrub permitted; scrubs not provided
- Limited to 3 cancellations per 13-week assignment
