Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN to provide care across low- to high-risk pregnancies in a busy L&D unit requiring KY or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in a Labor and Delivery unit with 14 LDR rooms, 3 ORs, and a 4-bed OB ED
- Unit delivers approximately 3,000 babies per year and supports low- to high-risk pregnancies with 24/7 specialty support
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- 36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
- BLS required
- ACLS and NRP required per department compliance standards
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in accordance with nursing scope of practice and hospital policy
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and care coordination
- Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
- Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks to other staff as appropriate
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
