Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency across a wide range of IR procedures.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend rotation may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Potential to float between sister facilities within the state
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in abdominal and pelvic procedures including angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, embolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement/removal, IVC cavagram, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, pelvic and renal angiography, selective visceral angiography, stent placement, superior vena cavogram, and thoracentesis
- Proficiency in genitourinary studies and procedures including adrenal and renal angiography, cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, renal artery and ureteral stent placement, and uterine arterial embolization
- Experience with vascular studies, endovascular interventions, and procedural responsibilities such as equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed
- Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)

- Perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures spanning vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic specialties
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing in to maintain a sterile field
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- First-time travelers may be considered
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
