Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift telemetry step-down position requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

26-bed unit with all private rooms
Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5:1
Step-down unit from ICU with all patients on telemetry and heart monitors
Manages critical drips and patients ranging from GI bleed to COVID or respiratory distress
Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a
Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
BLS and ACLS certification required
ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, treatments, and care coordination for step-down patients
Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
Delegates and oversees care tasks performed by other team members
Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
