Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior telemetry nursing experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Team nursing model with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:8
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling available

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and TCAR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience required with 1:4-8 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and IV therapy preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Support for neurological, orthopedic, and cardiovascular patient populations as needed
• Approximately 4 hours of required pre-start modules to complete
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Preferred RTO of 5 days or less
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
