Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift acute care position requiring a PA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• 33-bed acute care Med/Surg unit with 16 telemetry monitors
• Patient population includes ortho (total knee/hip), bariatric (gastric sleeve/gastrectomy), CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac catheterization patients requiring intervention
• Maintains approximately a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays required as needed, with every-other-weekend option available
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• CCU staff and supervisors available each shift to assist with monitor strip readings

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring
• Scrubs not provided; no specific color requirement
• Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
