Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit
- 6:1 patient ratio
- Night shift, 18:45-07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Patient diagnoses include ortho, spine, and general medicine cases
- Medication management includes pain management and insulin
- RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
- APRN support available with self-scheduling
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by condition
- Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor or preceptor
- Promote teamwork and participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
- Comply with regulatory standards and participate in practice governance
