Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position on night shift requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space
- Team nursing and pod system with a social worker and unit educator assigned to the department
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
- Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound guided IV equipment
- Cerner EHR system
- Night shift 7P-7A
- Minimum of two weekend shifts per schedule
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC (must be issued by AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
- RN ADN education required
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
- Experience treating ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain presentations
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a high-acuity, Level 3 trauma department
- Work alongside an interim ED manager and clinical coordinator with dedicated social work and educator support
