Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience and telemetry competency at a Level III Trauma Center.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center community hospital
• Cares for a wide range of adult patients including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2, or 1:1 for high acuity patients
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a), does not rotate; EOW required
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, including the ability to read tele strips
• EPIC charting experience
