Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring EPIC experience and telemetry monitoring skills with 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit with primarily Med/Surg patient population
• Tele-capable unit requiring remote cardiac monitoring competency
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Must float to all Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Telemetry/remote monitoring experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line management
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy management
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation
• Wound care and isolation precautions/PPE knowledge
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capability
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam regardless of specialty, with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility as no local rates apply
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted with initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
• Non-billable orientation modules average 2-4 hours and vary by unit
