Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Trauma 2+ experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour
• 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
• No block scheduling available
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Trauma Level 2 or higher experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• TNCC certification preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, and intervention
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Responsible for patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and hazard reporting
• Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior Carle Health contingent workers must have completed a 6-month break in service if previously on assignment for more than 1 year
