Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN for a night shift position requiring IL licensure and Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

Acute care Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a Level 2 trauma facility
Patient population includes post-PCI, post-bypass, and CHF cases
RNs are required to titrate drips and interpret their own telemetry strips (Draeger monitors), though a tele tech also monitors
24/7 in-house intensivist/hospitalist and RT coverage assigned to ICU/PCU
RT equipment includes vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
Uses Allscripts EMR
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
13-week assignment length

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Open heart experience preferred
Experience pulling sheaths preferred
CRRT experience highly preferred
Level 2 trauma experience or above required

Additional Information

Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients including post-PCI, post-bypass, and CHF cases
Collaborate with 24/7 in-house intensivist/hospitalist and dedicated ICU/PCU respiratory therapy team
Complete 4 hours of billable computer modules prior to start, delivered the week before assignment begins
