Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring EPIC experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit
• 3x12 Day shifts, 0700-1930
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to unit needs
• Floating required to other units or facilities as needed based on census
• Utilizes EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication administration
• Patient ratio of 1:5

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and blood product administration required
• Tele, ER Holding, and Cardiac Tele experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Must reside greater than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible at full travel rate
