Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring SC or compact RN license and AWHONN Intermediate certification.

Details

• LDRP unit with nursery responsibilities in a Baby Friendly designated facility
• RNs are cross-trained to labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage
• Unit also cares for GYN surgery patients
• RNs perform their own hearing screenings
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call and float required
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for labor patients, 1:2 for cytotec inductions, 1:1 for mag patients, 1:3 for couplet (mother baby) care, and 1:1 if baby is in the sick nursery

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Lactation and STABLE certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Labor and Delivery unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Arrhythmia skills preferred

Additional Information

• Provide patient care across labor, delivery, circulator, acute care nursery, and OB triage roles as needed
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, limited to areas of demonstrated competency
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
• First-time travelers will be considered depending on years of experience
