Description
American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a hospital step-down unit requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
- Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
- Day/Night rotating 3x12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am)
- Shifts may be adjusted to meet hospital operational needs
- Required to work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact state license in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
- PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
- Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to step-down level patients within the HVTI unit
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score required (maximum 2 attempts)
- PBDS assessment is waived for this position
- Locals accepted at the same bill rate
- Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
- Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
