Description

American Traveler is hiring a WI or compact licensed RN for a Long Term Care Med/Surg position with weekend day/PM shift requirements.

Details

Long Term Care/Nursing Home setting
Uses Meditech EMR
13-week contract assignment
Weekend PM/day rotating shift schedule with 14-hour shifts (2pm-10:30pm and 6am-8:30pm)
Holiday coverage required

Requirements

Active WI or compact RN license required
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Two-year nursing degree required, four-year degree preferred
Less than 1 year of experience required, 1+ years preferred
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required

Additional Information

Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families in a timely manner
Complete resident assessments and medication administration following the 5 Rights
Perform wound care and assessments as needed
Assist CNAs and monitor residents for changes in condition
Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as needed
Report allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting
