Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications and prior travel experience.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center emergency department at a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Evening shift, 4x12 hours (11:00-23:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
• One professional reference required

• Provide emergency care including triage, medication administration, and cardiac emergency response in a fast-paced trauma center setting
• Free parking available on site
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
• Local candidates not accepted unless residing more than 75 miles from the hospital
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
• Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
