Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2 years of PACU experience and an active MI license.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a 415-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule with variable start times (9:00 AM-9:30 PM)
• Weekend rotation required
• On-call responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required

Additional Information

• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and level of consciousness during anesthesia recovery
• Manage airway patency and respiratory function, intervening promptly for distress or obstruction
• Administer medications for pain, nausea, and fluid management
• Assess surgical sites, dressings, and monitor for complications or adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care team
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
