Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring PALS certification and at least one year of recent PICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 9-bed Pediatric ICU unit
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 in PICU and 1:2-3 in Stepdown
• Utilizes Alaris pumps for infusion management
• Charting is done in Cerner
• Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Must work 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule
• Floating required to Peds and NICU units
• Self-scheduling available
• Unit performs IV starts, cath placements, LP assistance, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity pediatric ICU setting alongside a team supported by shared unit techs and HUC coverage from 9 AM to 9 PM
• Dress code requires all navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
