Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a nights acute care position with telemetry experience preferred and an IN or compact RN license required.

Details

• Acute care medical surgical unit with telemetry, progressive care, and swing bed capability
• 40 licensed bed facility with 10 swing beds, 20 beds in unit, average daily census of 10
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing beds
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Blocked scheduling available
• Cerner EMR preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• 3 years of experience preferred
• Required skills include IV starts, nursing assessments, and telemetry monitoring
• ICU drip experience preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide acute care nursing with telemetry monitoring in a medical surgical setting
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for every other holiday
• RTO requests must be less than one week for the 13 week assignment, up to 48 hours total
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
