Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a night shift position providing critical care and airway management services.

Details

• Provides respiratory services across all patient care areas, including pediatric patients over 13 in the Emergency Department
• Performs bedside bronchoscopy support
• Utilizes specialized equipment including Servo I/U, Hamilton C1, V60, AirSense/AirCurve, INOMax, OptiFlow, Airvo, Micro Max, Panda Warmer, and Boston Scientific Exhault
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend rotation

Requirements

• RRT certification required
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• PA state license required in hand prior to start (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Skilled in airway management including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in ABG procurement and interpretation
• Experience with oxygen therapy delivery including HFNC and trach collar

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former employees must be separated from the health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
