Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or other unit-appropriate certifications required or preferred as applicable
• Epic charting experience preferred
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients
• Perform health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic interventions
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening results required prior to start, with drug screening expected within 24 hours of commitment
