Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to cross-cover CT and X-Ray with ARRT (CT) and (R) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Cross-trained role floating between X-Ray and CT units
• Adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings
• Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest/cardiac studies including coronary CTA and vascular CTA
• Uses GE CT Maxima, GE Definium Tempo X-Ray, GE portable X-Ray, and PACS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required, license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year as a CT Technologist (2 years total specialty experience preferred)
• Technical School Diploma from an accredited Radiography program or equivalent required
• Associate's Degree from a Health Science program preferred
• Knowledge and skills to perform imaging exams on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols
• Venipuncture and peripheral IV skills preferred
• Must be able to lift and carry 40-50 lbs
• Valid state license or certification, references, and certification copies required for consideration

• Performs a wide range of CT and X-ray imaging exams including trauma, cardiac, and vascular studies
• Responsible for contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
