Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a Level II trauma center, requiring OR and fluoroscopy experience with a minimum of 1-2 years overall experience.

Details

• Fast-paced central radiology department covering fluoro, OR, inpatient, outpatient, ED, and NICU exams
• Level II trauma center serving adult and pediatric ER, 21 OR rooms, 3 endoscopy rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, and a 50-bed NICU
• 500+ bed hospital performing 250-300+ exams per day, with 100-125 done portably
• Fluoro procedures include lumbar punctures, myelograms, swallowing studies, esophagrams, UGIs, and barium enemas
• Involvement in bronchoscopies and ERCPs within endoscopy
• OR imaging includes ORIFs, hip replacements, PLIFs/ALIFs/TLIFs/ACDFs, and cystograms
• Equipment includes Samsung, Carestream, Siemens, and Philips x-ray systems with GE OEC C-arms and an O-arm
• 4x10 hour night shifts, 7:30 PM-6:00 AM, Sunday-Wednesday
• Call required as needed
• Floating required across all Cone Health facilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience required, 2 years strongly preferred
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• OR and fluoroscopy experience required
• Experience with PACS, portables, C-arm, and contrast administration required
• EPIC experience required, Interlad experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to work with adult, pediatric, and NICU patient populations
• Skills in general radiographic positioning including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremities
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of radiographic exams across OR, fluoro, ED, inpatient, outpatient, and NICU settings
• Work within a Level II trauma center, the only one in this part of the state
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
