Description

American Traveler is hiring a Trauma ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Trauma ICU unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to any ICU/TELE unit within scope based on facility need
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Level II Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with neurological care and ICP monitoring
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients including respiratory, thoracic, and neurological cases
• Up to 2 days of RTO with 1 approved holiday off
• Three missed shifts may result in assignment cancellation
• Facility maintains a strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings (other than small earlobe earrings), and all tattoos must be covered
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
