Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 1-2 years of experience and NBCOT/NM licensure.
Details
- Home health setting serving adult and geriatric patients
- Caseload of 8-12 assigned patients
- 5x8 day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
- May float within scope to meet facility needs
- No floating to sister facilities
- Mileage territory of 35 miles, reimbursed at federal IRS standard mileage rate
- Cerner charting system used
Requirements
- Current NM OT license required, if applicable
- NBCOT certification required
- BLS certification required
- MOAB certification required (training provided during first week if not already certified, must pass to retain contract)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
- Pending state license accepted
- Non-local candidates only, must reside outside 100-mile radius
Additional Information
- Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital, short-term acute care facility with 554 staffed beds
- Second set of fingerprints required upon arrival for CYFD compliance due to potential presence of children in homes
- Skills include ADLs, adaptive equipment, home assessment, wheelchair evaluation, orthopedic rehab, and neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injury
- COVID vaccine optional but facility reports vaccination numbers; vaccine series or declination form required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Block scheduling accommodation not guaranteed
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
- Light blue scrub color required
- No parking fee
- New contracts and extensions require minimum 10-week commitment
- 6-month system break required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments
- 12-month separation required for former staff
