Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring Level I trauma experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 30-bed or larger unit at a Level I trauma center
• Independently manage Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Requires Epic EMR experience

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA
• TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• 2 years of ED experience in a 30-bed or larger, preferably Level I trauma center
• Nursing degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution
• 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment
• Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a wide range of patients including Level 1 trauma cases
• Smoke-free facility
• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of signing
• Complete required orientation modules prior to start (8 hours for RNs)
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered at a lower rate
• Former Broward Health employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
