Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I Trauma experience for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active FL or compact license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a Level I Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM) with every-other-weekend rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area
• Must be able to function independently caring for Level I trauma patients in the Trauma Bay
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level I Trauma ER experience required
• 2 years of recent acute care experience required, consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Nursing degree must be from an accredited school or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG competency assessment

• Provide independent nursing care to Level I trauma patients in a fast-paced ER environment

• Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate
• Former Broward Health employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
• Requires completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting and criminal history review
• Proof of vaccination status required, with no declinations accepted
