Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of telemetry experience and an active NJ or Compact license.

Details

• Community teaching hospital setting on the MS/Tele unit (4N)
• 23 rooms with 44 beds and a 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) requirement
• Every other holiday required
• Home unit assignment with possible floating to other MS/Tele units including Ortho, Oncology, ACE, Med/Surg, and Neuro/Stroke
• Epic charting experience required

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Telemetry experience required, including MS/Tele, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, post-angiogram, IV therapy, GI, and endocrine care
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and post-procedural care
• Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required; unvaccinated candidates must wear a mask
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks per call-off policy
• RTO requests during winter period (Dec 15-Jan 5) limited to 2 consecutive PTO days, subject to unit approval
