Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer specializing in Vascular studies, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS and RVT certifications.

Details

• Support both an outpatient clinic and a hospital setting
• Vascular ultrasound unit
• At least 36 hours/week, not to exceed 40 hours/week
• Alternating day/evening shifts with variable weekly schedules combining 8/10/12 hour shifts
• Shift times include 0700-1530, 0700-1730, 0730-1700, 0700-1930, and 0830-2100
• Weekend rotation approximately every 4 to 6 weeks with 12-hour shifts
• No call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting
• GE ultrasound equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARDMS and RVT certifications required, RDCS preferred, License required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program, Associate of Applied Science in an accredited ultrasound program, or Bachelor's degree
• Vascular ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification preferred
• Skills in Doppler studies, duplex, color flow, carotid, arterial and venous studies (upper/lower extremity), arterial mapping, renal artery duplex, transcranial Doppler, and M-mode preferred
• Experience with abdominal, OB/GYN, pediatric, and general ultrasound procedures including abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen
• Experience with renal/pelvis studies including bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, small parts, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid ultrasound
• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Perform vascular and general ultrasound studies across adult, obstetric, and pediatric patient populations
• Navy blue scrubs required for this role
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO during the first week of the assignment
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
