Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stepdown position requiring a CA RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Step down unit within a hospital setting
• Telemetry patient population with 1:3 patient ratios
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730
• Rotating schedule including weekends
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown/telemetry experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Specialty experience must be within the last 2 years
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and post-procedure care
• Experience with craniotomy, CVA, TPA, and neurosurgical patients preferred
• Experience with TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and cardiac catheterization patients preferred
• Local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates previously employed at the facility must disclose this at the time of consideration and receive facility approval prior to assignment
• Requested time off cannot be changed once submitted for consideration
