Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night-shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center emergency department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required; first-time travelers considered with 3+ years of experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
- Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities
- Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Perform procedures such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of ventilated or sedated patients
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate; radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and reside outside a 50-mile radius before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers welcome if they meet minimum experience requirements
- Any color scrubs accepted for this unit
