Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a PICU/multi-unit night shift position requiring 4 years of experience and float capability across CCU, PICU, NICU, and other acute care units.

Details

• Provides respiratory care across CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS units, not limited to PICU or Peds
• Level 2 ER/PICU/NICU trauma setting with high acuity patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00), with possible fill-in on day shifts
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Floats within scope to CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS as needed
• Uses Servo U-V60 and HFNC equipment
• Documents in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU experience preferred
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT
• License required if applicable
• Compact license accepted at time of submission but Alaska license required prior to start for acute specialties
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Works in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 152 staffed beds
• Provides respiratory therapy services to high-acuity patients including trauma, critical care, and floor therapy populations
• Scrubs may be any color or pattern; L&D/OR scrubs provided
• No cost for on-site parking
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
