Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro/Neurosurgical Med/Surg unit, requiring MD or compact licensure and prior neurology patient care experience.
Details
- Work in a 14-bed acute care neurological and neurosurgical inpatient unit, part of a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Care for adult patients with conditions such as spinal surgery, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and seizure disorders
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed per unit
- Availability call required for 2 (12-hour) shifts per 6-week schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele Acute Care experience required
- Experience caring for neurology patients required
- Experience in a facility with 500+ bed count required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for stroke, neurology, and neurosurgical patients
- Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- First time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
