Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center acute care hospital requiring Draeger vent and Level II trauma experience.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and a Level II Trauma Center
• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-RRT unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed
• Floating required between two hospital campuses and across units including NICU and Pediatrics, frequency dependent on census and staffing needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• NICU experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• CRT or RRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required in work history
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Draeger ventilator experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required, with no contracts under 13 weeks
• Epic charting experience required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations including NICU and Pediatric Critical Care
• May be asked to orientate students or new hires as needed
• Skilled in ventilator management including CPAP, BiPAP, SIMV, and high frequency oscillation/jet ventilation preferred
• Experience with neonatal oscillating and high frequency jet vents is beneficial
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only

• Part of a large regional health system
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are considered local
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
