Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital requiring Level II trauma and Draeger vent experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
• RRT unit with rotation through NICU and Pediatric units
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Floating expected between hospital campuses and across units based on census and staffing needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• NICU experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year in a Level III or IV NICU
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Draeger vent experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Travel experience required, with no contracts under 13 weeks in work history
• BLS and CRT or RRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• ACLS certification required
• CPFT, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• May be asked to orient students or new hires as needed
• Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities if needed
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only

• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the hospital
• Former staff must be separated from employment for 2 years before returning as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
