Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with Level II Trauma and Draeger vent experience for a night shift position at an acute care hospital.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital with 426 total staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System with free parking
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Will float between two hospital campuses as needed
• Expected to rotate through all hospital units, including NICU and Pediatric units, based on census and staffing needs
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Draeger vent experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• BLS, ACLS, CRT or RRT, PALS preferred, NRP preferred, CPFT preferred
• State license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• May be asked to orient students or new hires as needed
• Candidates must be gone from facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the hospital are considered local
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemption only
• Experience with neonatal oscillating vents and high frequency jet vents is valued
• NICU experience preferred but not required
